George & Fiona
I have known George for a very long time. I say a long time because we were raised up in the same church since Sunday school, then as we grew up and High school then college/campus came we lost touch and after a while we re-connected. I was excited when he contacted me and said that he would love I shoot his wedding. His main reason was, and I quote him, “naambiwa kazi yako imeheshimika sana” (“I am told your work is really respected”) end of quote. That was so humbling to me that he would have so much confidence in me and he hadn’t seen my work really yet. Then later I got to meet his wife Fiona and you know, usually the bride is the main say. If the bride likes you then you are safe and I think I was lucky or rather I got favor. The wedding was in Mombasa it was my 4th Wedding to do in Mombasa but this was quite unique because it was a rainy season, however the weather behaved on the wedding day. Oh! and another thing, it was the first wedding I was shooting with quite a huge bridal party. Here is a summary of that day.
